Stone Pride, Redux

This digitally illustrated version of Stone Pride was inspired by another original piece of mine named the same from Chalk Walk 2007.

Stone Pride is about breaking free from what holds you from being your most authentic, beautiful, and unapologetic self. In the original concept, the lion that was breaking free was the spiritual essence of what was captured in stone form. That concept still applies, but this version deals with social gender norms, most specifically masculine and feminine characteristics.
